I haven't come across any around here... I think Bridgewater will be worth the drive though, cool group of people for sure!!!

We can drive together if you want to check it out...  It's like 35-40mins from here (Franklin)  If you drive to my house, I'll drive to Bridgewater.

That sounds great, I'd be up for that!  Did you get a new surgery date yet?

No new date yet, Dr. Shah (my surgeon) was out all last week so her p/a said I should know early this week!

Still so stressed about rearranging my life getting ready for this only for it to sit in limbo.

If it helps you at all, I have a support group in Quincy on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 6pm, I host it in my home, I do have a dog and cat and normally have a spread of pouch friendly grub to eat. Let me know if you'd like more information.

Thanks! Quincy isn't too far.. I'll get more info after my surgery in March!  I'm going to try the one my hospital offers too.

Where are you?  Would Burlington be closer than any of those locations for you?  Mine is at Lahey Clinic, 2nd Monday of the month.  I'm not sure if they allow people who had surgery elsewhere (I've only been to one meeting), but you could ask, or come with me sometime and we could see if it's a group you could join regularly.

I would also be surprised if Newton-Wellesley hospital didn't have one; they do the surgery there and I would expect them to have a comprehensive program including post-op support groups.

Thanks so much for the offer Lisa, my hospital offers a post op support group that I plan on attending.. but it's in Boston so I was hoping to find something local that wasn't hospital sponsored to go to as well.

How are you doing since your surgery?
