??liver question??

i see alot of people writing about the liver __liver enlarged and fatty liver ... my surgery is for the 13th of sept and i am not on any special diet from my doctor or my NUT ... but i have to only maintain my wieght at 253 where it is now  until the surgery ... so my question is to you ....what can i do to make sure i dont have an enlarged liver or fatty one ! ?

I'm pretty sure everyone who is obese has a fatty liver. Were you not told to lose anything? The Center for Weight Management has a 5% weight loss they go by. Maybe because you are on the "smaller" side they don't want you to lose anymore?? (that might be an insurance thing)

My RNY is 9/14 and I was told to have 4 proten shakes a day with 1 small meal for 2 weeks before surgery to help shrink the liver.

I weigh the exact same thing (surgery scheduled for this Thursday) and was told not to worry about the liquid diet either because my weight was just not high enough.  who knew!  good luck
