Emerson Hospital
Hi
I lived in Concord for a long time and really love Emerson hospital. The place has a very caring feeling, everything a good community hospital should be. I know that Michael Jiser has a good reputation. I'd have surgery there if there was no other place around and I'd be comfortable doing so.
But -- my big BUT (lol) -- is: this area has so many flagship WLS programs. That's why I didn't consider Emerson. This really isn't very rational. Different things comfort different people. I wanted to be at a place highly rated, Center of Excellence, etc. The downside to big hospitals though is that
they're ... big and can be super busy and impersonal. If you live near Emerson, the ease of getting there before, during and after, is key.
Go to an info session there and trust your gut!
