Todd, I know that you have the stamina to take that liquid diet for the next 8 days. You will not be able to drink prior to surgery.
Keep up the good work. I know it must be hard. I did not have a liquid diet. I was actually losing weight on my own prior to surgery. I see that my surgeon does recommend it now. It makes room for the surgery as your liver is enlarged. It will help you in the long run.
Next problem will be saying how much you have lost. There will be the oh, I lost ___prior to surgery on the liquid diet and I have lost ___since the surgery. Do you total it or do you keep saying this is what I did pre and post op?
I can tell you that I have met a lot of people on Youtube who have had lap band surgery. It is a bother for them as well.
