OK'd by doctor!!!!

I'm new here and haven't posted much but I've been reading this forum for a little while now.

I met with Dr. Partridge at Newton Wellesley yesterday for my follow to consult and she ok'd me for surgery.  I am super excited and a little nervous too.
Now I have to wait to hear about insurance so I can get my surgery date.

Anyone know how long this process takes?  I have blue cross/blue shield.

What was your experience for how long it took between doc saying ok and having surgery?

Congratulations - back when I had BCBS MA PPO it took under a week to receive insurance approval.

I had Blue Cross Blue Shield HMO Blue New England and I got my approval letter after I had my surgery .. I thought that was crazy! Well, my Dr.'s office said I was approved but the actual letter came in the mail when I was already home .. geesh!

My office told me that they never get a denial from them but that they also approve at the last minute, sometimes only 1 week before surgery
