Guess where i am!!!!! Brigham :(

ok, so I had an appointment today with my GI specialist but never made it. My abdominal pain was so bad last nigh and this morning I decided i should call my surgeon at 6am before I ate anything incase he could scope me today and so he wouldn't be pissed I did not inform it was getting worst. Well he said come right to the hospital and go to admitting. "we will get a ct and a scope". Ok good i thought. NOT I got here at 10:00am have had nothing toeat or drink since 9pm last night and I JUST got my ct at 8:00PM. Naturally he needs to see the results before moving on to the scope, but he has to have the GI department come consult with you and then they determine when and IF you get a scope. And because of the long weekend ahead they are so overbooked they are only taking emergencies now. He already asked them to see me in the morning but doesn't know if they will scope me. then everyone goes home for the LONG weekend and most have Monday off so they wouldn't be able to do it till Tuesday when i start my summer course at 8:00 am. I am not missing the first day and staying in the hospital for the LONG weekend for nothing. UGGH I am so mad!!! I am going to plead my case with them in the morning and beg them to scope me so I can go home, otherwise i'm just going home!! I have school every tue,wed, and thur till 12:45 and the professor is very strict about attendance because it is a summer course and classes are 5 hours long, so that's a lot of material to miss. it is 10:00pm now and I just got ct results, negative, yay. must be ulcer. i finally get to eat now, just a little incase they scope me tomorrow. going to eat my fruit and water and hit the sack.  Will update tomorrow.

Feel better hunny - at least you're in there and getting it taken care of - make them find out what is wrong!!

7:30 am now. just saw reg. doctor who basically had nothing to say. It is in the hands of GI now. Pray they will scope me today!!!! I need all the help I can get. lol will report after GI comes.

Well my lovely Dr. told me yesturday he spoke with GI and they would be up to see me in the morning! LIE She just came 2:00pm  and said if someone spoke with her yesturday I would have been booked for today!!!! WTF she said she never heard anything till 11am this morning!!! So now she has to go make phone calls and see if they can do anything for me today. I am praying and crying.   I feel horrible and like nothing is going right for me right now. How can a hospital be so ****** up?????????

Whoo Hoo, I got a scope at 4:00pm!!! I guess i was convincing enough!!! and drum roll..........Anastomic Ulcer!!!! Pain was not in my head!  lol  Now just waiting for orders and discharge!!!! YAY although I can't take my kids to the carnival tonight, dad is doing that so I am stuck here till he finishes there, probably till 10pm. But at least I will go home!!!

OMG, i was ready to drive down there and crack some skulls after reading all this.  Glad I waited til I got to the end to see that they finally did SOMETHING for you.

Sorry that you have the ulcer, but at least its something they can help you with.

I hope you can still get in to see Flower's surgeon.... this latest round of insanity is not the way people should be treated!

Finally - sorry you have an ulcer but at least now you know what is wrong and can treat it. Your doctors should be shot.  Get your but over to St. Elizabeths ASAP.
