It was a lot of fun!!!  Sorry I couldn't do the whole route, but the dog had other ideas.

Next time I'm sure it will be a non-custody weekend. LOL

Either way, I'm FEELING the 6 miles I did.

Hopefully see everyone again soon!

Oh yea - I'm feeling it - just got back from my splurge (facial after the canal) and feel like a new woman - exfoliated and ready for a nap!!

Can't wait to do it again - I'm so glad Sue came to hang with us!!

Walk was fun!! But I think I over did it. My fused ankle has been in pain all day and night which is why I'm up at 2:30am!! And I ran out of liquid tylenol so I'm stuck with ice and children's chewables, lol. Do you know how many childrens tylenol you have to take, it's rediculis. I only did 6 miles out of the 14 but I am a hurting unit! I don't think I can handle more than 3-4 miles. Physically my legs and lungs can handle it but my foot is not cooperating. FYI I had 8 surgeries on my R ankle over a 2 year period and it's been just over a year since my last one. I am going to have to go see my ortho and see if we shouldn't start PT again. I can't believe you guys did all 14 miles!! Good for you!! How long did it take you? I'm guessing 5 hours at least.

Good job on what you did do !! No shame in that - I also have a bad ankle - broke it in 3-4 places and had to have surgery - the more you do the better it'll get - although it is still painful sometimes.

We only did 7 miles for the Canal - Scott met us at the end and picked up and brought Lynn and Kate back to the parking lot - Pam and I hit the road and continued walking until he came back for us. So her and I did 8 miles. I would LOVE to do the whole thing as in up one side then back down the other - but several of us had appt. . commitments and it wasn't doable yesterday - so prepare for next time - lol !!

I think next time we should do the other side from end to end - that side is only 12 miles - then we can do the ultimate canal walk - all 14.  I'll let you know when my legs are working again - LOL

That is great having Scott pick you guys up. But did he have to do the whole canal to go get his car?? I'm glad I'm not the only one with no legs. I really won't be able to walk today, I weeded my garden (perenial) and raked up all my old mulch. It took me about 4 hours. And I dig up and rearranged lots of my plants. A lot of bending and walking. I could feel the hurt last night. lol
