I wake up every day anywhere between 2:30 and 4:00 am with this terrible feeling in my stomache that almost is painful and I feel like I'm starving!! Anyone else experience this??

Hmm, not during the night but sometimes when I wake up in the morning I feel hungry ... I grab a spoonful of peanut butter while I am getting ready for work before my breakfast!

I did the other night - it was weird.  I ate a snack and went back to sleep.

Thanks guys. I am going to try the peanut butter. lol My stomache hurts so bad and I just drank a protein shake with no relief. I am sick of my Dr. looking at me puzzled and telling me I don't have an ulcer without even checking it out.    I am going to call my GI specialist, she has scoped me several times for ulcers and gastritis, so I know I get them!!! Hopefully she'll be more understanding! I'll let ya know what she says. I woke up again today at 2:30 with pain and I still have it at 4:15. This is crazy!

Yeah, you DEFINITELY need to get that checked out .... so strange that you are still having all this pain!!

Great to see you @ the meeting last night!!

Are you on any ant-acids?  I was on prilosec for several months after surgery, for prevention purposes since my GERD had been relieved by my pre-op weightloss.

Definitely ask about that!

Ok not to bash my Dr. any more than I have, but he has me taking a pepcid over the counter antacid, like a rolaid, only stronger, twice a day. I think if I really have bad gastritis or a small ulcer he should definately put me a prescription antacid like Sue said. Nice meeting the new people at the meeting.
