Met with the surgeon...
So 3 weeks ago I had immersion day and at the time I had lost .... absolutely nothing. I was so bummed out and i knew I was going to have a rough time with this.
A week later I have an appointment with the shrink, I hop on the scale, cringe and go back to look at my weight and I dropped an entire 5 pounds. I was so proud of myself. All that hiking on the weekends is paying off and I actually enjoy it too.
Last week I had an appointment with the NUT and my first appt with the surgeon. I hop on the scale and I am down another 6 lbs !!! We sit and talk to her and she says when you see the surgeon she will tell you how much you need to lose and then they will have you come back in and check you then talk about you at team meeting and you'll get a date ... probably Oct/Sept'ish
I go upstairs to see the surgeon and she tells me ... I am ALL SET! As long as I don't gain anything they are going to talk about me at team tomorrow and I should have a date Mid - late July hopefully.
I haven't been nervous at all about any of this and now I am just a little bit. Not backing out kind of nervous just excited/nervous. I was so sure I was going to have such a hard time losing the pre surgery weight and now it's not too much of a problem.
I'm so proud of myself. Not to mention the hiking ... boy is it tough but when I get to the top it is such a sense of accomplishment !! I look forward to the weekends and our next trip.
