so I need to vent this morning - I know I didn't have a good week -as far as food - not so much bad choices just grazing....... But to step on the scale and see almost a 4 lb. gain this morning !!! UGHHHHHHHHH

It's just staring out a good week - and I'm obsessing ..........

Anyone else out there - gain this before even a year out ???? I know I shouldn't panic - but then again maybe I should..........

Hoping the day gets better !

lisa,
i HAVEN"T been grazing or eating off and i'm seeing a bit of a gain today as well.  i'm gonna try to stay off the scale until wednesday.
my plan of action is to just keep on exercising and treating my body right. it will all have to come together at some point.  exercise is good for the body and so i****er.  that's what i'm going to do. continue with it and the rest should follow.  not sure if that helps, but you're def not alone in this!!!

maybe the sodium from a ham dinner?  Drink lots of water, I bet it'll come right back down.  I know when I used to do WW they'd tell us not to eat anything salty 3 days before a weigh in.. no corned beef, ham, chinese food, etc.  It's too salty and makes you retain fluids.

I would have flipped out too :(  Awww, don't beat yourself up over it.  I have to agree that the sodium in the ham probably didn't help at all.

Don't panic, just look forward to a new, fresh week.  I'm only 8 weeks out and twice have caught myself falling into grazing.  It's such a hard habit to break.  Big hugs and hope your next weigh-in goes better!!!!!!!!!

my scale went up 5 lbs this morning (from last Monday).  I made some bad choices, but I didn't eat a cake every day or anything.

I'm calling it Easter ham water retention plus some carb loading for my race on Sunday.

Stay calm.  Refocus.  Protein first.

Hugs to you honey!!!

I don't know what to tell you other then try to be calm, review your food journal and then see if you can tweak part of your diet to see if it makes the scale go down. If you have another gain next week, I would call your nutritionist, maybe they would have some suggestions when this happens.

Hugs... hang in there! You are a very strong person, you will get through this. :)

I'm sorry to hear about it.

After reading your message the one thing that I see that is positive is that you are aware of the situation versus avoiding the scale and not asking questions about it.

Did your schedule change?  Are you regular?

I'm sorry to hear your frustrations.

I have been going up and down the same five pounds for the last 6 weeks. It is so frustrating! I understand how you feel. I am starting to panic myself. Just hope this isn't the end of the losing for me. I have another 25lbs to lose.

I am not as far out as you, so I can only speak about what I've read.  But if you are doing all that you should be doing, recording your foods, drinking your fluids, taking your vitamins etc... then maybe your body is just trying to figure out where it wants to be comfortable weight wise at??!

I remember reading a post from a woman on the main board who was a few years out and said that she doesn't panic when she fluctuates between up and down 5lbs...  So.... don't panic yet and since you are aware of the grazing just try to work on that.  I find myself doing that sometimes too.  Hang in there - you are doing great.
