Looking for Primary care at Beth Israel for WLS

Hello,
           I need some information/advice. I am looking for a good primary care physician that would refer me to Beth Israel Weight Loss Center. I am considering having Gastric Bypass Surgery but my HMO insurance requires a referral from a PCP. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Hope to hear from some one soon!! MIM

I had wls at beth israel the begining of the year. I just went to my pcp and told her that I wanted to have the surgery and that I had done research into which program was the best for me and she had no problem referring me to BI. If you have an HMO they usually require you to have a PCP so you should have one already, if not just get one close to home or even at BI. Hope this helped :)

I agree.  You should ask your current PCP.  There is a Beth Israel here in my hometown, but that is far from where you live.  I wish you luck and the BI has the best surgical team.  I wish one of the doctors on their team was my PCP.
