Vent.....

Ok so off and on for about a month I've been having left sided pouch pain... usually last between 20 minutes to 1/2 hour.. maybe level 4 pain...   Well Tuesday night had the pain for over an hour it was after hours but called Tufts spoke to on-call surgeon was pretty much useless on advise to call Surgeon's office in the morning...
Well pain was fine next day... Well today having pain maybe level 5ish dull local pain going on 2 hours...   I can walk, eat and feel fine....  stomach actually making growling noises.... lol

So I call Tufts to maybe thinking I should be seen,,,,,  thinking maybe call bladder bockage something,.,,,,,, Explained all above  They gave me an  appointment for April 1st... LOL  LOL   I guess no big deal if I can wait that long...   I see Dr Shikora on tuesday I said I'll wait till then,,,,  Is it me or should I not be concerned???  Is this normal ??? 
IDK maybe I expect to much from Dr's office for my after care....

April 1st???  That's not cool.  I call with pain i get seen THAT DAY.  Hell, I had surgery THAT DAY when i called with pain which ended up as an internal hernia (granted it was like 10 on a pain scale).

I understand it's a dull pain, and you are eating, drinking (passing gas?  pooping?), so maybe it's nothing, but if this keeps going on I'd call again, or go to an ER. 

Keep a log of what you've eaten, any activities - running, weigh lifting, crazy acrobat sex... 

Seriously, take care of yourself, even if they won't!!!!

Thanks sooo much Sue...  I will start keeping track....  Sex.???  I so wish that's what was causing it.... LOL    HMMMMM  wonder if that will decrease the pain???  LOL 
IDK just seems like the office too busy to bother with the after care... 
I'll speak to my surgeon on Tuesday and let him know what happened...  and will tell him about my pains.....

 

that stinks.  I hope you can get in sooner, maybe see if they can call you if they have a cancellation?

Melissa call them back and let them know that April 1 is NOT acceptable ! You need to be seen - period - if they refuse - ask to speak to the Doctor - there is always the chance he doesn't know what they are doing (unlikely I know but......) Don't take no for an answer....

I see Dr Shikora tomorrow and will tell him about my pain then.

I'm just sooo disgusted with the Hospital.

 

 

I believe that gall bladder pain is on the right side, not the left...in general.  I too am/was having pain...feels like gas..but it is not...I had an ultrasound of my Gall Bladder on Saturday AM...I called doc on Friday and he had me in on Saturday to the lab for an US of the GB.
