just when i thought i could swing it.... the prices he mentioned earlier were for if your insurance covered a tummy tuck.  a lower body lift for $9000 with insurance for the tummy, $15000 without.  ouch.

Suddenly medical tourism is looking good.   Brazil is lovely all year!

YIKES----heading south would scare me BUT $15000 is crazy.  We have lost just about the same amount of weight so I would imagine we look about the same.  I know I need to do something---decisions, decisions !!!!   My daughter is getting marriend in May and that is where my money is going to now.

Best of luck to you !!!

Hi Sue!  Great seeing you at the Dr.'s.  Insurance didn't cover my breast lift, so I dug into my car fund, decided that I didn't need a new car anyway, and that the boobs would last longer than the car.   But I was lucky because I'd been saving for a car for the last 4 years, so even though I couldn't actually buy a whole car, I could buy a whole set of boobs!

They are going to send in the insurance request for lower body lift, but he doesn't think it will be accepted.  I can deal with the lower excess, it's so much better than 260 pounds.

Did the receptionist give you the loan information?  the regular receptionist, Pam, wasn't in this week, so hopefully you got that brochure.

You look amazing by the way!

Thanks, it was great to see you again too!  small world!!!

I bought a new car last May because i was commuting Lowell-Waltham every day.  Then I broke up and moved to Waltham.  If I didn't love my car so much I'd sell it since I really don't need a new car now.  Oh well.  I really like Dr. Davidson, so maybe I'll start saving my pennies.  I'm goal oriented, so if I want something, it WILL HAPPEN.

Question about MG residency - i checked the regular MGH plastics page and didn't see much about post-WLS plastics.... do they specialize in this?  i worry because it's not like I have the belly of a 3 time mom or anything... you understand.

Sue..

they do not have info on their website regarding their residency program.....The surgeons that work with the residents are top of the line docs...Ive had incredible physicians working on me.  My belly was a mess after 2 kids and all of my weight loss.  They did an incredible job.  I chose to go this route instead of going out of the country for obvious reasons.  Im so glad that I did.  Ive had my face/neck lift, TT/BL/BA all thru the program.  I will gladly send you pics if you like, before and after so that you can see the difference.

Hey Kim -  Sounds like you found a 'hidden Gem" with regards to the residency program.  I took a look at your pics on your site -    I'd love to see the TT before and after, if you have it.  I've had 2 kids,  c-sections, so have my railroad track already, and the dr. doesn't think that the insurance will cover a tt, so anything that saves money is great!

Hey Susan...please let me know if you have any questions about the program.  As soon as I get pics posted, will let you know.

By the way, how did you like Dr. Partridge?  My daughter has an appt with her in March..

I like her.  I had one episode about 5 months out, and she was there on the phone, and then in the ER with me later on.  It ended up it was my cooking that caused me to "back up" .    I wish your daughter the best.  that first appointment is a long one, that's for sure!
