Gotta tell you it's probably head hunger - we are humans and we like to CHEW !! lol and you have been drinking fluids this is only goes so far ! Give it some time, and just try to work through it - find ways to distract yourself - keep busy - that should help !! It's a very emotional journey !! stay on the boards for support !! Good luck !

I had two days in a row where I felt really hungry, and I think I was about 6 days out, too..  I really wonder if we still receive messages from our larger stomach for awhile?  Mine was true hunger pain.  It's gotten better, and now, I use those moments to have my vitamins and CIB.  I'm still on full liquids.  But there were those two days where it was really hard and upsetting b/c I thought I wasn't supposed to feel hungry anymore.  And maybe it's not even hunger at all but how our body is perceiving the pain in that area while it heals.  Who knows.  Hang in there though, it won't last.

your head is just dying for food.  I can't blame it... that's a long time!!!

Hopefully they will advance you to soft foods soon.  Whatever this "hunger" is that you feel - is totally normal.  you eventually will not be hungry, and in a few weeks will need to remind yourself to eat.  Sounds crazy, but mark my words.
