specialized vitamin shops in MA?
I've heard that there are some specialized vitamin shops for people who have had WLS in MA.
Does anyone know of any? If so, do you hve the contact information?
I'd like to try to go this weekend. My RNY is scheduled for December 7th so I want to stock-up a bit on the protein powders, see if they have chewable, liquid vitamins, etc...
Thanks!

Hmm..I dont know of any around here BUT a little advice ..don't stock up!!! I can almost promise you your taste buds will change. If you go through previous posts you'll see people saying they wasted a lot of money stocking up and then never wanting the stuff after surgery.
I would say ..get SOME stuff now. But don't go crazy! I am able to get all of my vitamins (in chewable form) at any old pharmacy. Centrum makes a chewable multi-vitamin. B12 is a sublingual that goes under your tongue. Chewable calcium is almost impossible to find ..most people buy them online but they are pricey! But I've heard you can put calcium pills in a drink and it will dissolve.

Not sure where you are located in MA, but I go to the Vitamin Shoppe in Braintree, MA (which is where I live) but they have a lot of stores. The one in Braintree (If you are near me) is located right nearthe South Shore Plaza, exit 6 of I-93, or exit 17 off Rt 3 South.

Nashua Nutrition - in Nashua, NH or nashuanutrition.com has a wonderful selection of WLS friendly products - and caters mostly to bariatric patients. Totally worth it to drive up and visit the store, but you can also order online. $99 gets you free shipping, and in most places in MA it arrives the next day!
