Surgeon Suggestions not in town..

Hi Ladies -

I have my 2nd appt. w/ my PCP next week Re: a lapband surgery. When it was 1st discussed last month she didn't know a surgeon in the area doing lapbands but would "put her feelers out". I am hoping she did a little research and will have more of a direction to point me in next week. I have looked at some of the boards and it seems the closest one listed is over 45 min. away. Due to the frequency of appts., meetings & support group classes I would love to avoid trips into the city if at all possible. I am pretty close to the RI line and am wondering if I might be better off considering the RI option, with insurence approval of course. Any ideas? Suggestions?

I'm not familiar with their program, but Norwood Caritas Hospital has a lab band program you could check out.
