Tufts insurance calls me every week
I think its a nurse, I don't even know. At first it was nice to have someone call weekly, then it became a nuisance and frankly pointless. If I have a question I will call my Doctor. I finally stopped taking the calls. My insurance changes on Aug 1st so that will put an end to that. Anyone have these phone calls?
so glad you posted this! i thought it was just me!! they have called me every day for over 2 years! sometimes when i answer they hang up. i remember it began after i had my son - while on maternity leave i didn't want to be bothered with the phone so i would ignore it. i should call to make it stop.
The the disability foks keep sending me this form to fill out which I have filled out twice now, they want to know if my sugery was related to an accident!! Has there ever been a case of RNY being related to some sort of accident? The last time I sent the form in I wrote in giant sharpie all over it. I was kinda angry!

My insurance calls monthly and they ask if there is anything I need from them, do I feel better, how is it going ........as if they can ACTUALLY help me! The last time they called I said "I'm not sure if I accidentally signed up for something or what but please stop calling. If I have a problem I'll seek advice from a professional".

I know that in order to be approved for surgery, i have to do a 6 month phone program called "I can change". It's 6 or 7 phone calls total - once a month. Dont know why they would call you so often though - I wish mine would make all the calls on a weekly basis so I can be done with it! She is really nice, but I just want to get things rollin a little faster. 6 months is a long time to wait once you have finally made the decision, compared to the 2 or 3 months that others seem to have..
Maybe if you just call cust serv and ask why they keep contacting you, then ask them to stop? Poor person who keeps calling you is just trying to do what they are told so try not to strangle them as tempting as it is!!!

Isnt it a wicked pain in the tookas?! If you dont mind me asking, what was the delay? - your date is much farther out then 6 months. Was it insurance reasons, Dr. reasons, or personal? - Feel free not to get into nitty gritty if it is too personal. Are you on the liquid diet yet? Not lookin forward to that, but the end result will be so worth it! Good luck!
