RNY scheduled 7/27 and no approval yet from Aetna---what to do?

I think my issue was more that they maybe should have waited a bit longer than just a week after they knew I would graduate from the Tufts 6 month I can change program. I dont' know who schedules the surgery date but in my case they cut it way too close! Or maybe they just know how many days it takes and they go from there!

I have Aetna PPO and am having DS.  Surgeons office submitted paperwork to get approval sometime between July 10-14 and the approval was decided on August 4th, 2009.  I am having surgery September 4, 2009 after working on this process over a year!  Hope this helps.  I have spent the entire time researching for stories, examples, etc... I am really impatient when it comes to all this waiting!
