last minute advice?

ok so i know its not really last minute yet, but i have 4 days until im surgi-fied. ive become very emotional about this, i feel like im saying goodbye to my best friend, my outter fat girl, ive blogged a little bit about it which i know getting out definitely helps me feel better to read what i wrote and see it more clearly. but i am also moving a week after my surgery so i know theres stress involved with that which im sure if attributing to my emotional mess. haha my toddler was looking at a picture of a cute little baby and was kissing it and telling the baby he loved her, and my husband got sad saying he could wait to have another kid and i flipped out wondering, should i go through with this? i want another baby too! lol.
but all came down and i came to my senses and i have already started preparing everything i may need after surgery. my mom is coming up to help out, i have most of the house packed, everything is set with work im taking off 4 weeks paid (is that enough?), i have had all my final appointments, everything, but i wanted to reach out
any last minute advice?
anything random you never thought about but realized after you can never eat again? (ive been having a hard time parting with food, i finally threw tons of stuff in the bin to give to some friends of ours) ive also been on the recipe forum making lists of recipes i think look good.
anything you felt that no one told you about? (weird pains, emotions, etc)
and just from a standpoint of moving, for an average woman, how much did you lose in the first month? i am curious as to what i should pack and what i shouldnt... and what clothes i can start giving away.
anyway so i just have a lot going through my mind and any last minute advice, words of wisdom, anything, i will appreciate.
thank you all for everything you guys have given me the past 6 months i have totally been inspired by so many of you and have really felt motivated to continue with this journey, when at times of dieting ive wanted to give up. since i only come on here at work, i know the next 2 days will be busy, so i may be able to post here and there, but if not, i will post when im officially on the other side.
thanks for everything!!!

I have my two year surgiversary coming up on July 30; I'm down 146 pounds.  It was actually much easier than I expected; the hardest thing was learning to shop.  When you shop plus size there's one department that you go to; when you shop regular sizes there are so  many departments!  It took a while for my head to catch up with my body; I still think I'm bigger than I am (I'm a size 8/10 now!).

Four weeks was plenty of time for me.  I was glad to get back to work as I was obsessing about my weight loss.  It felt so slow but then it just took off!  I can't remember what I lost in the first month but I remember thinking it was not enough!  I was thrilled to get off the blended diet and eat something real again.

I don't think I've been too helpful here but I want to wish you luck.  I want to tell everyone who is overweight to do this; it is truly life changing.  My only regret is that I didn't do it isooner!

I think I lost about 25 lbs the first month.

i ws worried about not eating pasta again... or at least not regularly... I planned (and still plan) to eat everything again someday - just in moderation.  As for pasta, I told myself i could try it at 6 months.  I have not done it yet at 8 months.  I'm not craving it... i just don't care.  that's really the most surprising thing!  I expected to want everything and feel deprived.  I don't ever feel deprived.  I eat my sugar free ice cream, my grilled protein, my protein drinks - i cheat and eat fried things once in a while, and I'm fine.

I do miss peanut butter.  I don't know why my body rejects it, but it does.  No peanuts or peanut butter for me.  BOO

Anyway, you have done well to be involved with OH for months before your surgery.  I was too, and I soaked up information daily, and when my surgery day came, I was relaxed and felt really ready.  I've been fortunate to have had very few dumping episodes - just the damn peanuts.  Preparing was much harder than the reality of this journey I think - at least for me.

So be confident, be strong and TAKE PICTURES - it's so worth it to see the change.

*hugs*

It sounds like if I wish you well over the weekend you will not see it, so let me wish you the best now!

Remember you can do this, you are worth it! I will be thinking of you while I'm at pre-op testing on Monday!

Good luck with the move and just remember to take it one day at a time!

You know how to reach me if you need me!

All the best!!

Good luck to you.

Have someone take your measurements! There will be times when weight is not dropping off, but the inches are. It is very rewarding to chart this. It also helps you determine what size you are.

I missed pizza. I tried an organice one last night, it was okay. Still would love a papa ginos flatbread one, but not so bad that I would kill for it.

I still have a hard time getting in all the vitamins etc and the protein. Now that I am finally on phase 5 I plan on using some protein bars to help with that.

Peanut butter was a no no for me as well, but its been a few weeks but once I have had the dry heaves I am not eager to try again.
