Anyone pull a Star Jones?

I only told those that needed to know before my surgery.  I had the same thoughts as you, I didn't want to hear all the horror stories or anyones opion.  But after my surgery I felt so great, now I tell anyone.  People will talk no matter what, so it is up to you.

Isn't it funny how different we all feel about this.  I too have only told my family and 4 close friends.  I didnt tell anyone at work, and hope not to have too.   I work in a school system and I am off for the summer.  I too am embarrassed that I couldn t do this on my own, but i suppose when  I loose i will be proud and tell all...but for now, if anyone finds out i'm having surgery, I think I'll just say...its personal...let them think what they will...
