Driving after Laparscopic Gastric Bypass?

Does anyone know how long you can't drive after having surgery? I hoping it's only a few days!

I was told as soon as you are comfortable and off of all pain medications.

I was told to wait until the week follow up appointment. I was cleared to drive 8 days after surgery.

I was told I could drive when I was off pain meds ...and that was 4 days post op!

same for me....It was about 5 days...I was so bored I had to take a trip to the video store.

As long as you aren' t taking pain meds, you can drive once you feel ready...I got home from the hospital on Friday, and was out running errands on Monday!!!!!
