this is HARD!

I am 2 weeks out and I am finding food issues to be really difficult.  I find I'm craving things that are sooo bad for me! It's hard to cook dinner and smell everything!!  I'm hoping that when i switch to pureed foods it will get a little better.  My family has been so good about things.  MY husband offered to eat dinner when i go to bed.  Told him to stop that!!  I need to get used to being around food.  people can't change their lives for me.  i'm the one that chose to have the surgery.  I just think I've had it with liquids, ricotta, and cottage cheese right now.

Kristin,

It will get better. How are you with pudding? You can add protein powder to it to get a bigger bang. Are there any flavors of yogurt that you like? How about making smoothies? Look for some of eggface's recipes - she even has some ice cream recipes.

I'm 6 weeks out and I feel for you !! It will get better !! Not sure it'll ever be easy - but the first few weeks were torture !! And I give you credit for cooking - I didn't - although in all honestly in our house hubby has always cooked more than me - he's better at it and enjoys it !!

But it does get better ! Hang in there !!

Highest (that I know of) 285  Weight when I started the process 277

i concur... all i wanted for the first 4 weeks was PIZZA.  Thankfully pureed food wasn't as bad as I thought - i even pureed potroast complete with potato and carrots.  looked like hell but was yummy.    It does get better - SO MUCH BETTER!!

thanks for the encouragement guys!  I just keep on trecking along and remind myself of ALL the benefits after this weight starts coming off (20 pounds already).  This will all be worth the hard work!
