Reaching a Personal Goal

Yesterday I had a friend reach his personal goal that he had set for himself.  Three years after having WLS, he ran the Boston Marathon in 5:45 yesterday.  In the 3 years, he has lost over 300 lbs and has been an inspiration to those around him.  I've watched him train and feel defeated after a run with having blood in his sneakers or limping from a torn muscle.

So those that set goals, know that you can reach them.

Congrats to Doug, my hero and support team member.

I have to say that is amazingly awesome!  I dont run unless I am being chased but that is something to be very proud of.

It gives me hope too. Hope that I can hit my goal weight after surgery. Hope that my diabetes will go into remission.

So thank you! and Congrats!
