Hiya I'm Meg, I've been hanging out in the wls for 20's forum mostly thought I'd post here. Since I'm having my surgery on Wed morning 10am. I'm so excited.

I need to figure my final list for what to pack for the hospital. And to do my laundry before hand, no way I'll be dragging the hamper down into my basement for a while.

Congrats on your weightloss already!  You're in great shape for surgery!

You don't need much at the hospital.  I brought my cell phone, charger, a neck pillow, a small fan and a robe... or at least that's what I used.  Oh, and a toothbrush.

I brought, but did not use:
MP3 player
book
magazines
slippers

Good luck!!

get used to eating lots of protein...
I recommend deli meat or grilled meat made into sandwiches or wraps with a whole grain type of bread.  or, skip the bread alltogether and have a grilled chicken salad (if you like those).  I currently live on grilled meats, lowfat cheeses, turkey pepperoni and my protein drinks.  I have a no sugar added Carnation instant breakfast every morning made with skim milk.  It's really helpful to find protein drinks you like.  If you like yogurt, there are plenty that are low fat, and they are great sources of protein.    You can mix in fruit or nuts too.
