Where can one get a NUT eval for preop clearance

I need to get a Nutritionist's letter for clearance and to qualify for surgery. I haven't been in any formal nutritional program for years.  I would imagine this needs to be from a Licensed registered Dietitian.  The only ones I know of work in hospitals etc.  not private practice

What kind of surgery is it that you want to qualify for? I see that you had RNY in 1998 and that your Dr is a distance from here. Have you met with a local Dr that can refer you to a nutritionist?

My NUT works for the Bariatric clinic and Dr that did my surgery. I don't know if they just have NUT visits available or not, but they are in your city.

Let me know how I can help you....

My surgeon is in NJ andI'm having a DS not done in MA.  Are you still active in the bariatric clinic?  possibly you could inquire?  It's my understanding that the NUT is just to verify that I understand the dietary requirements/restrictions post op.

I won't be there until early next month, but you could call them and check.
