Waiting for approval

I got my surgery date of 7/13

but I'm waiting for Cigna to approve. I've been waiting for 8 days now....The waiting is just killing me.
How long did you have to wait to get approved?

Sorry to say BUT Cigna is horrible. Keep calling Cigna to get the status of your request. They will tell you if it has been approved. Cigna denied me. I changed to Blue cross and was approved in 24 hours.

i had Tufts, which took 2 weeks after I had completed their mandatory 6 month program!!!! S.O.B.s

I had Cigna and got approved after the first letter. I did call them after 1 week and they said they didn't get my paperwork. so I have my surgeon's office re fax it to them and I had my approval within a week. Just call them to check on the status...call everyday if you hve to.
