You'll probably only have been home one day from the hospital and i know that i slept really bad those first few nights after i got home.  I don't want to be a downer...and might i mention that i'm VERY jealous that you got tickets, but i was uncomfortable for a couple of days at home and very tired.  You could always go and the worst thing would be is that you'd have to leave early.  I hope your surgery goes well and have fun at the show!

you body will need to be rested. I would not pu**** you will have gone thru surgery.  I would ask your doctor and see what he says.  I hope your surgery goes well.

if your talking about going a few days before youll be fine why not if your talking about going a week after no way it was a solid 10 days before i could go anywhere and even then it was tough this was the best thing i ever did and it changed my life but for a few months you will be sick feel like crap and you must put yourself first and only think about how good youll be in a few months a concert even the dead ( with out gerry whats the point anyway) is not important this is a life changing thing your going threw stop thinking about things that dont matter and get ready to live life l;ike a kid again good luck & god bless

If you were going to someplace normal, you would probably be okay. But, there are going to be lines and hoards of people. You will probably be pushed around. Sell your tickets and stay home listening to the "REAL" Dead with Jerry!!

You could drag yourself out, but you probably wouldn't have a good time.  You will be having some pain (easily managed with the painkillers), and you will find that just a few minutes of standing and walking will exhaust you.  For the first few weeks, you really need to rest and recover.
