My scars...

My RNY was nov. 5th.  I know that they say it takes 6 months for scars to fade, but mine have suddenly become raised, red and very itchy.  The raised part is hard also.  I just saw the doctor and they said they look great, but my friend whose surery was a whole month after mine, are barely visable.  I wouldn't even care if they were "just" visable, but these look horrible.  Anyone else ahve this problem?  Thanks.

I have laproscopic surgery 11/2007 and unfortunately my  4 scars are raise and pretty permanent,  very unsightly ! I guess i am stuck with the scars um less i have cosmetic surgery.

I had one that was a bit raised, red, and itchy.  It still itches a little occasionally (it's been 10 months)!  I think this is just part of the healing.  All of my scars have almost completely faded.  If you're doctor says they are fine, try not to worry about it.  They just about dissappear eventually.
