Dr. Czerniach

I have an appt on feb 24 with dr. czerniach  at umass. just wondering if anyone else had him as a surgeon and what you thought. Its my consultation with him. What happens after the consulatation?? do we make an appt for the surgery? when do we see if insurance will pay?? j have done the behav and nutr class plus exerecise classes . Is this it... am i finally ready for the surgery?

To be honest, I thought he was a little young when I first met him, but he was super nice and answered all my questions (and trust me, I had a lot!).  After your consultation, his office will submit all your stuff to the insurance company to get approval (I called my ins. company prior just to see if it was covered).  When you get approved - and you will - they'll send you a letter with your date.  Don't worry if the date doesn't work for you though, because you can change it if you need to, I had to change mine and it was no problem. 

I was never as nervous as I was the last month before surgery, I swear that is when it hit me as being a reality.

i agree with you about being nervous the last month before surgery.. I was just telling a coworker that i wasn't nervous at all and then i get my call today.. and im starting to Questions myself if this is what i really want.. i know this is what i want so why all the mixed feelings now..

Dr. Czerniach is also my surgeon. I love him. he is actually in his mid-fourties, I think,, because when I first met him, I asked in my wiseass tone, did you just get your fisher-price doctor's kit yesterday? He laughed, looked at his chart and assured me he was older than I was.
