Hello,

My surgery was last Monday 12/8 and everything went very well.  I came home on Thursday.  I've been sleeping mostly, but today I had some energy to go to the store.  I am relieved it is over and can't wait to start losing weight :)

Congratulations!  Remember, the next couple of months are for healing.  Sip your water, rest, try to get your protein in and walk when you have the energy!  The best is yet to come!

Thank you everyone!
It definatley feels good to have the surgery behind me.
I'm having a hard time sipping water all day...especially since I'm home and taking naps during the day.  I just drink as much and often as I can.  I guess that's all you can do right?

how is everyone else doing?

welcome to the loser's bench.  Congrats.  Everyone is right.  This is the time to  heal, so don't stress about a thing.  Do as much as you can, and don't push yourself too hard.  I'm 9 weeks out and today is the first day i've eaten more than 2 ounces of food.  You'll get there..

Congrats!  You and I are in the same boat.  I just had my surgery at Brigham & Women's on 12/4/08 - 2 weeks ago toay.   I have the same feelings about the fluids - getting them all in.
I saw the dietician for the first time today.  She said to do what I could but not to the point of nausea.

In 2 weeks, I've lost almost 20 lbs.  I'm really excited.  My pre-op jeans are already baggy.

Take care.

I will have to set up a profile tomorrow.   Time to hit the hay.

CONGRATS------had my RNY on 12/1.  I am also having a hard time with the liquid.  Just doing my best.  Take it slow.  I went out the minute I felt better and was exhausted.  Now I nap every afternoon just to make sure I rest.     Glad we are filling up the losers bench !!!!
