Hi everyone. I just officially got my surgery date of December 15th!!1 YAY...Just one week before my birthday so I am giving myself the best birthday present, everyone agree?
Just wondering if there are people here who have been through the program at Salem Hospital> I am figuring getting a support system in place ahead of time would be smart thinking...

You must be really excited! Good for you. I just thought I would say hello since we are just about neighbors. I live in Merrimac MA and do most of my shopping in Plaistow.
I am at least 6 months away from Surgery - I have to do the Tufts program "I can change". Makes me wish I hadn't procrastinated for so long.

i too survived "i can change". gives you time to start eliminating some of your poorer food choices and learn to savor what you eat. Good luck!

Hi neighbor!!!!
I felt just like you do when I started my journey about four months ago. One I got all the information and made my decision, I wanted it and wanted it now. Now being just a few weeks away I realize why they make you wait. My decision has not waiverd once but getting the support of my family hasnt been the easiest thing. I tell them either you do or you dont, my mind is still made up.
I think we all agree, the more support we have the better our outcomes will be.
