I'm home

Hello everyone,

I'm home from sugery.  Got home at 8:30 last night.  It was a hernia causing a small bowel obstruction.

I have all the daycare kids today, but my husband is doing the lifting of the babies.

I'm feeling pretty good for the most part.  Tired and sore.  I have a nasty cold and it hurts to cough because of my incisions.  I have a support pillow to put on my belly when I cough.

Just going through the motions to get through the dreaded day.  Oh and how the hell did I GAIN 13 lbs in a day and a half!!!?!?!?!??!

Thank you to everyone for your well wishes

Keep mending Kendra!  I guess I could have come to visit if you since you already have a cold...that stinks!  I feel your sniffles!

Hi Jenn,
Thanks for thinking of me!  This cold is really hurting though.  It hurts to cough.  The splint pillow doesn't help much.

Hi Carol,
Thank you very much.  I plan on getting lots of rest this weekend.  I've been napping while the kids nap and going to bed early, but it doesn't seem like enough.  My husband doesn't know it yet, but I'm doing absolutely NOTHING this weekend.  Of course I say that now, but I know that won't happen. LOL

I'm so glad to hear that you are home.

Thirteen pounds in a day and a half! It's liquids, darling. I was in the ER on Monday getting hydrated. They pushed 3 liters of fluids through my veins. That has to be about seven pounds. You'll be rid of it soon enough. One good thing about it - you'll see some numbers falling rapidly over the next few days.
