Allergy Help

Seems like since surgery (Dec 07), I have developed allergies or now have sinus problems.  I seem to always be stuffed up (head and nose) and my nose constantly runs.  I would like to try some type of allergy medication to see if it will help.  Suggestions on what we RNY people can take would be so helpful.

I use Flonase. It is a prescription nasal mist. It works great.

Thanks Jayne -  I am going to talk to my PCP about this.  I like the idea of a nasal spray and not another pill.

Hi Carol, I have had allergy's since I gave birth to my first child.  I have had allergy shots, that helped a great deal.  For now I use Naselcrom (sp) It is over the counter and Walmart sells it for about 15$.  Sometimes the other medicine that is perscribed can be cheaper, but you also need to pay for the co-payment, time off from work and gas to get to the Dr's.  Try the Naselcrom, it does not have a taste, and it works well.
