Canobie Lake Park

Hey all,
I never thought it would happen to me, but it did!
I went to Canobie with some friends and my toddlers.  I love the Starblast ride (I think that's what it's called - you go up and drop really fast).  Anyways, I almost didn't fit.  The shoulder bars wouldn't reach down to the buckle.  The girl manning the ride had to find me one where the strap was longer.  I was so embarrassed, but at least I didn't have to get off and go down the Walk of Shame.
If that wasn't bad enough, I almost didn't fit on the rollercoaster!  The belt was so tight, but at least the girl at this ride was chubby too!
I cannot wait to get this weight off!  I told my mom that next summer I'll be at the park and ride all the rides until I get sick - just to prove I can fit!

Lynne, I'm sorry that happened to you .. I know for me my biggest fear is not fitting places .. even now I still feel that way .. we are going to 6 Flags in 2 weeks and even though I have lost so much weight I still have the fear of not fitting..

Ya I had a similar situation happen to me at Six Flags last year- waited in line for like and hour for the Superman ride(I think- some superhero nonetheless) and there was a guy ahead of me who didn;t fit and I felt awful for him but had NO IDEA that I wasn;t gonna fit either and felt like such a fool and I thanked God that I didn;t thnk or say anything awful about the man who didnt; fit- you never know when it will be you!! That was just one of the many reasons that I went for the surgery consult- finally got a date on 10/1!!! 

One of my favorite rides is the swings that hang down on chains. I last rode one about 15 years ago and it was tight. I haven't dared try one since. I can't wait until I get to try it again.

My last trip to a park, Universal Florida, had me walking the walk of shame.  I look forward to checking out 6 flags this year with my daughter!

This happened to me last year at Sesame Place with my two little girls. The ride was so tight and the girl running the ride let me on but the girls wanted to go on again and a guy had taken over and kicked my chubby ass off.. I am so glad I was wearing sunglasses because I was in tears.
