Introduction

Hi!  I may have posted an introduction before but life catches up with me and I can't always remember.  Anyway, I'm 36 years old, married to the love of my life and mom to two miracles (11 yo and 3 yo).  I have 120 lbs to loose and am scheduled for my surgical consult in Sept.  I am really looking forward to it and to the changes that are in store for me.  I look forward to getting to know all of you.  I live in SE Mass. now but we are looking to move to the Hopkinton area in the future.

I am in the Taunton area.  My surgeon is Dr. David Lautz.  I really liked him when I met him at the information meeting.  I'm looking forward to talking to him one on one in September.

He told us at the information meeting that he has lots of cancellations and that we should call on Wednesday afternoons to check for that week.  Has anyone ever managed to get a sooner appt with him through a canecellation?  I read very good reviews about his office staff but they all seem so stressed and rushed when I call.  I'd hate to keep calling if there really isn't much chance of me getting in, I don't want to add to their stress level!  LOL

Hi..He's my doc and he's the best  (sorry.....other rnyers). They do have cancellations and I know people sometimes get in quicker.

My surgeon was Dr. Lautz also --  I was very happy with my care at Brigham & Womens.  There is a local support group that meets at Lori S's house in Assonet.  She's on my friend's list.  We are informal, and meet about once a month.  I also go to the support group at Brigham & Women's.

Kelly we're almost neighbors!  I live right by Greatwoods/Tweeter Center/ Comcast Center (it's hard to tell what people know it by these days...lol)  Have you found any local support groups?  I'd like to find something close to home.  I am more than willing to travel to the ones offered at the Brigham but it would be nice to have something more local to fall back on.

My in-laws live right over that way too .. I have not found anything local .. I wish I could. if I hear of anything I'll let you know. I had surgery in Newton and it's just too far to drive for the meetings.
