Very very sad news // but very very important information

It's always hard to share some sad news -- but it can also be very important.    I've been spending time on the Florida forum as I'll be moving there very soon.    I found the following threads in regards to intestinal blockage and I felt it was important to share them.   It can be a very serious complication to our surgery that can happen at anytime postop, whether it be a few months or years -- as sadly one of there dear friends found out. 

PLEASE understand .. this thread is not to scare anyone -- please don't be scared by this as it is a very rare cir****tance.  Please just keep it in your mind as knowledge.

I am only 17 days out and although I hate reading about death from the very surgery I just chose to have, it is better to be aware. That was an awful thing but hopefully will a reminder to never let our guard down.

People should also be very aware that this can happen without ever having surgery. My best friends father in law is currently in the hospital for this problem without having WLS and a friend of a friend died from this very issue years back and that individual didnt have surgery either. I am not sure how much sugery increases the chances but it can really happen to anyone.
