Mini Goals - what's yours?
So... I decided even before I had my surgery that the need to set mini-goals was going to be a must. Knowing myself and my mind and body without them I was going to likely start to get down and depressed.
SO ... my first mini-goal was to be the weight I was on my Wedding Day. (although at the time I definitely wished it was less) .. and to hit my first 30 pounds down. It worked out to be the exact goal down to the oz.
Welllllllllll... low and behold, this morning I hit it!!! Hooray!!!!
What's your mini-goal?
I love mini goals. Since i decided to have surgery i have been making all kinds of them, and it's great to meet them.
My current goal is lose 7 lbs before my surgery. I want to be an even 250 for my big day. That will give me 100lbs to lose post-op. It will also keep me above a 40 BMI which will hopefully keep insurance issues at bay.
Meeting this goal will mean i will have lost 20 lbs before surgery just doing things that prepare me for the post op life, like limiting carbs and eating more veggies.

Couldn't do it without the mini goals. Right now I am set for surgery on the 16th and I have to lose 20-29 lbs by then. That is my mini goal right now. I am staying on my diet so strictly that I was getting down because I have only lost 8 lbs in almost 3 weeks. The nut said I set my calories too low and that is why I am not losing. I need to add another 200-300 more calories per day to my diet in order to lose. (first time in my life anyone ever told me I need to eat MORE.). I did reach some mini goals of exercising most every day and eating better. I hope I meet all my mini goals to reach my max goal of losing a total of 135 lbs. and being insulin and med free...HEALTHY.... good luck to everyone else on their mini and major goals!!!!!!
