when is date set?

When is the date set for surgery?  I am almost through my requirements and i meet with the surgeon on Thursday.  I he the one that will give me the date for surgery or how does that work.  I see alot of people say the office called with the date.  just curious.

I see my surgeon Thursday too....wondering the same thing!

Once I fullfilled all my surgeon's and insurance requirements, the office submitted all the paper wpork to my insurance company.  Once I was approved then the surgeon's office called me to set up a date.  Not sure if all offices work the same way or not.  Good Luck! 

For me it seemed like a last minute thing.  At Tufts the "team" has to agree you're ready and I assume that the insurance paperwork is done in advance.  I was expecting my date to be in early December but it wasn't until the week before Christmas they called and said, "busy on the day after Christmas?!?!?!" You're doing your part, trust that others are too...although a call couldn't hurt...
