i don't know if anyone else has this problem.  i had my surgery january 18, 2007 and i have lost approximately 105 pounds.  i went from a size 20-22 to 6-8.  it's truly amazing.  but the problem is that i still cant eat.  i don't get sick but i get very full almost immediately.  i will have two bites and that's it.  i absolutely cant have another bite.  it's frustruating.  i guess you could say i get sick meaning that i am SO full that i have to lay down.  will this ever go away?  does anyone else experience this?

Sounds like you have been following the rules and making everything work the way it was intended.  Your stoma hasn't stretched and why you still get that full feeling so quickly.  Most we love this idea.  I'd suggest that you enjoy the fact that you are still able to eat small and continue to use your tool for maintaining what you have lost.  As time goes by, you will be able to eat more and will look back on these days and wi**** was still like that.   I'm still only able to eat small amounts and I do not try to push the envelope on my pouch.  I figure the longer I can keep from stretching my stoma, the more successful I'll be.  Just remember to eat and make healthy choices. Congrats on your weight loss.

Are you chewing completely before you swallow?  This has been my only problem with food...that and eating too fast which for me the two go hand-in-hand.  Also are you giving yourself time between drinking fluids and eating?
