BC/BS elect of Ma

I am hoping to have the VSG procedure. I have BC/BS elect PPO, the CS person at BC told me that the VSG is a non covered procedure however it has a "individual consideration clause" so..........we'll see what happens For anyone considering the VSG with BC/BS HMO Blue or BC/BS Medicare HMO it is a covered procedure. Hi Gail and welcome!   I don't recall having seen any VSGers on the MA board.  I have a friend in NY who has doen well with it. If you haven't found it already check out the VSG board http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/vsg/a,messageboard/board_i d,5463/  and see if there is anyone there that know about BC/BS.  Keep us up to date on what you find out.  You might just be the one who becomes the resource for people in the area who are interested in VSG. ~Cher

Gail- What do you mean by HMO Blue..it is a covered procedure???  I am unclear as to your last sentence.  I have HMO Blue New England and it is not covered per their paperwork??
