Hi Help me.....

Hi I had a hip surgery last weel friday 2/29. I can't still walk unassist yet. I depend on the crutches. My hip do not hurt anymore. Why can't I walk on my own? Do you remember shiela Partidge did a talk about a man who was overweight and he couldn t walk at all or move his legs. She did the IV vitamins supplement for him and he walk better after 2 days. I am not sure if it was vitamin supplement IV or something else. I am nervous. I can't walk at all. Megan W butch074

Megan, If you should be walking by now you need to call your doctor that did your surgery and tell them ASAP!

Definitely...If your goals were to be at least partially weight bearing, then someone needs to be called...Do you have a physical therpist set up yet?  I would recommend a lot of ice (20 mins on, 20 minutes off) throughout the day...Hopefully they have given you some range of motion exercises to do when lying down...this will also help the overall situation, but definitely call your surgeon's office in the morning!
