OT: An afternoon in Boston

I'm looking for some ideas on hanging out in Boston this weekend with my family.  We have a 2.5yr old and 5yr old.  We are flying out of Logan late Sunday for our vacation but are spending the weekend there as "start". We check in a hotel at 3 on Saturday then we have about 3-4 hours to spend before tucking the kids in for the night.  (We're planning to spend most of Sunday at the Childrens Museum so they'll be tuckered out and sleep on the flight).  Any thoughts on what's happening this weekend?  We will have our car so we can drive around as needed. Also recommendations on places to eat (non-seafood preferrably) that is family friendly is great too. Thanks in advance.

I am not alone, neither are you.

The Science Museum is a great place.  Or if you like to shop, there is always Faneuil Hall (Quincy Market) and there are plenty of places to eat there. Kendra

Ditto to Kendra's food suggestion - the kids can run around there, it is reasonably priced and everyone has to like something.

Saturday is going to be crazy rainy in the city.  I would stick to Museums or movies.  The Science Museum has some great hands on stuff, and the aquarium is very interactive for kids as well.

Have fun!!

skip the aquarium..kids that age don't enjoy it . They run around the big center fish tank and announce they are done..at a $17-$20 price tag/head. Food..try Dicks Last Horrah in Fanuel Hall.   Loud atmosphere.if the kids act up no one will know. Their menu is on the web.  And ..bring extra clothes for the Children's Museum. there is a water area and the kids can get wet if they get into playing. Mine do. Fanuel Hall with kids 2-5 isn't so fun ....for too many people and you are afraid you will loose your kids. Have Fun!

there is the pizza regina in the north end , but if it rainy it would not be that great,  Where are you staying, you may be better of using the subway to haymarket and you can walk to fanuel hall and you can walk to the north end as well from there.  You will have to drive to the childrens museum. Have fun.
