Back in the hospital
its 4 am and I am sitting in a hospital room on morphine and I can't sleep. Grrrrr. I had a strange chain of events that got me here. I apparently had a hypoglycemic thing this afternoon and my boss (I am a nanny for a doctor) forced me to drink almost 16 I'd of applebjuice. I protested no too much sugar but I was so out of it by that point that he got me to drink it and then HOLY DUMP. After a classic dumping episode I suddenly got hit with this ungodly pain in my abdomen and they rushd me to LGH after a CT scan they found a small bowel obstruction. I am waiting to speak to my surgeon in the morning as I am having pain near my pouch which that does not explain. I am not happy right now and wonder why I did this to myself.
Hey Shana - I'm glad you called to let me know where you were. I hope things are getting better. I will give you a call tomorrow to see if you had to have the exploritory done. As you know I spent a few hours in the Hospital myself this morning. The Dr's office called this afternoon and the gall bladder scan was negative (I guess that's a good thing - but it still doesn't explain the pains and nausea all the time). I am going back to work this Monday and I'm getting nervous going back feeling this way. I will give you a call tomorrow.

Hello All and thank you so much for all of your kind words and support! They discharged me from the hospital last Thursday without doing anything. Said the obstruction didn't look remarkable enough to go in. I was told to call them today if things didn't get better. So today I called because Things haven't gotten better they have gotten worse. The NP told me she would touch base with my surgeon to see what he wanted to do. Most likely it will be an exploratory Laporoscopy, However I may not be able to get in until NEXT WEEK for the surgery. How I am supposed to live with this constant pain for another week if that happens. I an't take narcotics as I have a 2 year old to take care of and I'm allergic to most of them and had a reaction to the morphine which I can usually take and now thats off the list as well. So I sit and wait.
