BCBS of MAss?

I have BCBSMA (PPO) and was approved very quickly.  My first app't with the surgeon was in early December and within a couple of weeks I had the approval letter and my surgery was scheduled for Feb. 4th (Yikes, it's almost here!!!!) I didn't have to talk to a BC rep or fill out any forms. My BMI was 48, I am on meds for high blood pressure, and I need hip replacement surgery. I, too, had tried many weight loss programs over the years. Rather than complete the application on the website, find a surgeon and let their office complete the paperwork and submit it. They will be sure to dot all Is and cross all Ts.
