So I'm at work right now and am eating pepperoni pizza that I am hiding in my desk drawer so no one will see it...please tell me the "hiding food phenomenon" will end after surgery

Do you feel people are watching what you eat pre-op?.. I always felt that way .. at family stuff ... you're going to be so busy making sure you get in all your liquids and eating right that you won't have time to hide food at all. You won't be hiding foods anymore, you'll be on purees for a month.

We don't eat that much after surgery so it really wouldn't be anything hide'able.  Best Wishes on your lead up to surgery...These days will be behind you soon enough.

I'm a year out and people still watch what I eat or not eat.  Most are shocked as to how many times I'm eating each day and sitll losing weight.   I eat on schedule and portion control everything I eat.  Protein is what I count still as I know I still cannot get in all the calories I need in.  So every bite counts for a healthy life.   So no matter whether you're pre op or post op, if people know you're doing this, they're looking at what you eat.  I love it when someone is eating something nasty and I have a healthy meal in front of me..... lol  Especially now that I'm thinner then they are.  Makes me proud I make everything count in my life now and I have made the change for that.
