Banding was rescheduled so Impatient Help

I was suppose to be banded on 11/22 but due to becoming ill it had to be postponed until 1/14/08. I am going kookoo I am so impatient only because Im afraid of dooming myself. Iam wathcing what I eat and drinking water and so on but Im scared with the holidays and all. My question is if anyone out their had to have their's postponed to another date how did you cope with the wating this so bad that you feel almost like your doomed.  Please sharing how you dealt and any advice is greatly appreciated.

This isn't such a great help, but my initial RNY was scheduled for 9/12/07 and then I got a call moving me to 9/18/07.  I was initially upset that I had to wait another day, but quickly realized I needed that time to get stuff in order and prepare even more. That's only a week though, doesn't compare to the month for you. I guess if you want to see a bright side, you have more time to plan for Christmas?..I know, it sucks.  Sorry to hear the news... Julie
