Hi Hollie, Had mine done in small Newport Hospital in R.I.  Bascially they attach a lot of electrodes to you.  Then tell you to sleep. The best advice that I can give is to take your own pillow & a sleeping aid. If you have to go to work right after, you might want to shower to get rid of the gucky stuff in your hair.  Mine is so curly that no one would have noticed it anyway so I put it off until later when I was home. After my first test I couldn't wait to get home to get some sleep - I hadn't taken a sleeping pill & got little rest. The second time when I had a nasal type insert (C-Pap), I slept  MUCH better & woke up feeling swell. Good luck! Islander

I'd wear a t-shirt and shorts or jammie pants .. thats what I wore I think it would be more comfortable than a night gound, They have a shower in the room so you can shower before you leave if you want.  I washed my hair in the sink.. it was all icky with the stuff they put on your head to make everything stick.. and the red pencil they use to mark your head. It takes about 30-45 minutes to get you all hooked up before bed and in the moring it takes about 15 minutes to get everything off. They are very nice over there. I didnt bring a pillow from home... I slept great though. The room seemed a little cool to me. I'm not sure if they keep it that way or not but they do have extra blankets if you need one... or two.    let us know tomorrow how you made out.

Did they prescribe Ambien for you?  If not take something like Tylenol PM, I did thankfully otherwise I doubt I could have slept.  I don't think all the rooms have showers mine did when I went but I don't think my hubby's did.  Heck they wake you up by like 5:30 or somewhere close to that.  Also the guy my husband had the 2nd time around was not great made him wear his t-shirt to sleep (said it's because of the strap that goes around you) although he could be shirtless the 1st time and said he couldn't sleep with the TV on,  again the 1st time around he could. Who knows. Steve was the guy I had and the one hubby had his 1st time he was really nice. Thank god I could have the tv on or else someone would have been shot!  Also if it's too cold for you they will adjust the temp. Good luck Gwen
