New here!!

Nope, not scheduled yet but I should be hearing from the them soon!! I have Blue Cross Blue Shield and I have heard from a few people that they approve people rather quickly, so I hope thats true! If I was to get approve by the end of April lets say.... Is it plausible to think that I would be having my surgery around the May-early June? My job wants as much notice as possible! Besides wanting to be healthy, my main reason for this surgery is because I have read the thinner you are the easier it is to concieve through AI. And we are hoping to start in about a year and a half from my surgery date. Leslie, it's been 1 yr since your surgery how is it going?? Lost as much as you hoped? Welcome Amanda, I went through the UMASS program and had RNY October 2004. It took me 10 months in the program then I got my date. Dr. Czerniach is wonderful and my surgery went very well. No complications and I was treated awesome at Memorial. He also performed RNY on my sister the year before mine and RNY on a friend the year after mine. All with no complications. I am scheduled to have breast reduction and lift with Dr. Lalikos (UMASS clean plastics at Hannamen). Best wishes to you!

Hi Amanda, Welcome to the board. My surgery will be in May so I can't say that I have anything to offer for advice beyond just hang in there with the approval/waiting process. Good luck in your journey and keep us posted how things are going. ~Cher
