what was his pre-op diet for you. not the weight loss but real pre op. liquids the day or how many days before? what does he have you do the week before surgery to get ready? thanks!!!

I was not given any specific diet. They did not require a liquid diet for the last few days like some programs I have read about. They suggested eating a light dinner as you must drink this liquid to clean out your system and you can't eat after midnight but that is pretty standard for any surgery. Nothing special really. I had to lose at least 10lbs., howevery I was able to and on the day before surgery I had to have a lite breakfast, lite lunch and then start the citrate of mag. in the afternoon to flush the system. That was it!
