Hello, Does anyone have any low fat, low sugar, low calorie dessert recipes they would like to share. I want to have a healthy assortment for Christmas. For Thanksgiving I made a couple of good Jello Pudding treats, but would like to try something new. Thanks

Try the 'recipes' forum over at the boards on bariatriceating.com. There's a whole thread at the top for WLS-approved desserts. Here's a link: http://www.beforeandafterchat.com/index.php?s=1b97a496c3fb1c0a2ba88a985fbb5a12&showforum=1 2

here are my 2 favorite recipes. I've made both and they're so good! Carrot cake 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 2 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg 4 large eggs 1 cup canola oil 1 cup SPLENDA 2 3/4 cups shredded carrots 1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, well drained 1 cup flaked sugar free coconut (optional) 1/2 - 3/4 cup chopped walnuts PREHEAT oven to 325 degrees F. Spray 2 - 8" round pans with cooking spray and dust bottom and sides with flour. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg in a bowl. Set aside. Beat eggs, canola oil and splenda with a mixer until batter is smooth. Add flour mixture beating at low speed until blended. Fold in carrots, pineapple, walnuts and coconut. Pour batter into prepared cake pans. BAKE for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pans on a wire rack 10 minutes. Remove from pans, and let cool completely. Sugar Free Cream Cheese Icing... 1 1/2 cups low fat or fat free cream cheese, room temperature 1 1/2 tablespoon butter, softened 16 packets splenda 2 teaspoons vanilla 0-2 tablespooons milk (if needed) Blend cream cheese and butter, add splenda and vanilla. Thin frosting with milk if desired. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Apple Crisp By Dame Tooter 4 cups apples, peeled, cored and sliced (Recommend: Granny Smiths or Golden Delicious) 1/3 cup Splenda or NatureSweet 1 tablespoon Krusteaz Pancake Mix 1 teaspoon Cinnamon 3/4 cup NatureSweet Brown Sugar 3/4 cup rolled Oats 1/4 cup Krusteaz Pancake Mix 1/3 cup butter, melted Mix together 1/3 cup Splenda, 1 tablespoon Krusteaz Pancake Mix, and cinnamon. Add apple slices and toss to coat. Spread out in buttered baking dish. Combine brown sugar, oats, remaining Krusteaz Pancake Mix, and butter. Crumble over apple mixture and bake at 350 degrees F. for 30 minutes. This is great by itself or served over no-sugar-added vanilla ice cream. Variations: Use equal amount of Pears instead of apples; use 1/2 apples and 1/2 pears and 1/2 tsp. nutmeg; use 3 cups peeled, pitted and cubed peaches instead of apples. I double the recipe and put it in a 9X12 pan. It's AMAZING!!!!!!! Everyone loves it. My latest batch just came out of the oven and the house smells sooooooooooooooo good!
